Evangeline Video Uploaded to YouTube
I’m slowly getting this site up in running, but in the meantime I’ve uploaded a video to YouTube for the song Evangeline.
This is a beautiful song performed by Marie-Jo Therio(t) that depicts the poem Evangeline published by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in 1847.
Evangeline, A Tale of Acadie is an epic poem published in 1847 by the American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The poem follows an Acadian girl named Evangeline and her search for her lost love Gabriel, set during the time of the Expulsion of the Acadians.
I have been listening to this song for some time, but never had the French lyrics close by during those times. By creating a video that displays both the French and English lyrics I and everyone else can follow along easily.
I am planning to do more videos depending on how well this one is received. Hopefully this will be of great benefit to you as you learn the French language.

Hello world! Bonjour tout le monde!
Hello and welcome to Learn French with Jason. My name is Jason Melancon and for the past few months I have been learning to speak French. I have discovered that I have a very strong desire to learn French and decided to focus my efforts and begin to develop this site as an aid for myself and others to learn French.
Since this site was very recently created there is no content as of yet, but that will change shortly. I am in the process of formulating a lesson plan and formats. Aside from what I will have here there are many resources available online to learn French, both free and for purchase.
